Recent Events The Lost Soles Film Shoot July 14, 2001 Our first (second? was Poochie a film?) film shoot. Its nice to see us finally busy with something. I'd like to thank everyone who has (or even may yet) pitch in. June 21-30 Red River Ex Didn't go. Did anyone? I heard it was only 50 cents on opening day. Still didn't go. May 18,19,20 KeyCon 2001
There was an article in the Free Press this year. I'll try and find some pictures of the many costumes there. I had a pretty interesting time. Feasted on roast pig and margaritas. Watch Wizard of Oz set to Dark Side of the Moon. Took part in a bizarre workshop with actor Micheal Sheard(popular on British TV, roles in Star Wars and Last Crusade) acting out a dysfunctional film crew. Also found popluar writer 'Spider' leading a three hour Beatles sing-along. Strange... May 12
There was a set etiquette 'course' at film training manitoba. I haven't heard about how it went. There are future courses being offered. Check their site. Film Training Manitoba April Over the last few weeks we've met several times. Mostly to drink and have a good time. But fun none the less. Week of March 20th: Videon 11 If anyone was lucky enough to catch 'Insight' this week it featured a piece on the filming of 'Inertia'. You'll reconize some instructors from our class.
I'm not sure when or if it'll be on again. It also featured Romane and sleep therapy. March 17, noon to 4pm: Screenings at the Cinemateque
I had a great time and enjoyed not only the films but meeting the actual film maker's who showed up and gave us their comments and advice. Hats off to Pat for pulling it off. |
