The History

Many of us first met in Feburary of 2001 at a Winnipeg Film Group workshop. We kept in touch through weekly gatherings at places such as the King's Head Pub.

A web-site was created by myself. I had hoped it would be a convienent way to keep people informed and connected. Its been an interesting project.

At first I dubbed us The Poochie Group after a character in our workshop film. Quickly the hot topic became finding a better name.

It was around this time that stories of missing footwear began surfacing. It all started with Geoff who lost his shoes in the river the first night he got drunk.

Other stories cropped up, even I had my shoes 'borrowed' at a party. A message was being sent to us...

So we became The Lost Soles.

Who are We? I'm not sure. Its constantly changing, always evolving. There are a few from the original group, Geoff, Debbie, KC, and myself. Others keep in contact. And more are always invited.

What do we do? I'm not sure. We try to support each other in each of our endeavors. Film is a big part of our lives. Our goal is simply to keep ourselves busy and not let our creative side get buried in our everyday lives.

To do this we try to initiate a project every little while. Usually film. And gather up every willing 'sole' to pitch in and help make it a reality.
